added additional command to fix file ownership as well
Mar 20, 2015 at 1:04 comment added Mark It looks like a file ownership issue. you can "ls -l ~/.ssh/known_hosts" to look at the existing file. It looks like your username is "todd" so you'll probably need to run "sudo chown todd -R ~/.ssh" to change the file ownership to your own user for your whole .ssh directory.

Mar 20, 2015 at 0:58 comment added Todd here is the output of the commands given
Mar 20, 2015 at 0:17 comment added Mark No, these commands should be run on the host you are using to ssh to the pi (your MBP)
Mar 20, 2015 at 0:15 comment added Todd The RPi2 is headless so I ssh into it to manage it. I have been the unsuccessful using VNC but that is another long story and another question. I will attempt your answer but of course I must ssh into it to run these commands or I must extricate from from behind the TV and hook it up to a computer monitor, keyboard and mouse. I'll respond back later.
Mar 20, 2015 at 0:05 comment added Todd That is true it does occur every time I connect, in fact it's been about 6 hrs since I reformatted the SD with noobs I had on it originally. I reformatted and installed Raspbian Wheezy on the SD, how ever I failed to check the md5 or the sha1 before installing on the SD.
