If you can it is better to use Joan's answer, however if you can't change /dev/mem to /dev/gpiomem this will get you the same permission to use /dev/mem that you have with /dev/gpiomem

Could you provide an explanation as to what this command does, and why it differs from joan's answer? What is the difference between /dev/mem and /dev/gpiomem ?
