whenever iWhenever I use ffmpeg inside a pythonPython script using subprocess it doesntdoesn't work. Here is the code I am using:

import subprocess

subprocess.call('ffmpeg -f v4l2 -framerate 25 -video_size 640x480 -i /dev/video1 output.mkv', shell=True)

here is the error it produces:

[video4linux2,v4l2 @ 0x1a87220] The device does not support the streaming I/O method. /dev/video1: Function not implemented
