I would like to connect around 30 smartphones via BLE to a Raspberry PI enabled system, however, googling around showed that it supports up to 5-7 active connections only. It is expected these 30 smartphones will have a short-lived link (1-3 minutes), but it’s very likely they become active at the same time.

What I figured out is that BLE itself doesn’t set any reasonably countable limitation on the number of active connections, however, this limit varies from one provider to another. Is there any way to allow this kind of setup? Maybe you can suggest a particular adapter compatible with Raspberry PI.
