I have set the proxy according to this documentation:

https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/use-a-proxy.md

This works fine. On the command line, I can use apt-get. I updated my system and added new packages.

But whenever I try to start rp-prefapps from the windows manager I get the error "Could not connect to raspbian.raspberrypi.org:80".

I have no idea why this program ignores the proxy configuration and tries to connect directly. rp-prefapps has no manual page and does not accept -h or --help switch.

How to tell this program to use a proxy?
