I am trying to get the sound from librespot to my Amiga via A314 (raspberry pi expansion card for Amiga) without any success. At the moment I can play audio with mpg123 on my Amiga by using a custom asound.conf, it looks like this:

pcm.!amiga {
    type plug
    slave {
        pcm {
            type file
            format raw
            file "/tmp/piaudio_pipe"
            slave.pcm null
        }
        format s8
        rate 18000
        channels 2
    }
    hint {
        description "Play audio to Amiga using A314"
    }
}

This pipes the audio via a file that is read by the Amiga via SPI. It is in 8 bit stereo with the sample rate 18KHz.

I execute the mpg123 with the following arguments:

mpg123 -a amiga <path to .mp3>

and this plays just fine on my Amiga.

When executing librespot with the following line:

librespot --name raspotify --device "plughw:CARD=ALSA,DEV=0"

I get no sound in the Amiga. However, there is audio from the 3.5mm plug. The argument --device "plughw:CARD=ALSA,DEV=0" is the one I should use acording to the explanation I guess, see below:

plughw:CARD=ALSA,DEV=0
    bcm2835 ALSA, bcm2835 ALSA
    Hardware device with all software conversions

When I execute tha librespot without the --device argument I get this error message:

ALSA lib pcm_hw.c:1903:(_snd_pcm_hw_open) card is not defined
ERROR:librespot_playback::audio_backend::alsa: Alsa error PCM open ALSA function 'snd_pcm_open' failed with error 'EINVAL: Invalid argument'
ERROR:librespot_playback::player: Could not start audio: Alsa error: PCM open failed

I also tried to execute like this:

librespot --name raspotify --amiga

that resulted in the following error message:

ERROR:librespot_playback::audio_backend::alsa: Alsa error PCM open ALSA function 'snd_pcm_hw_params' failed with error 'EINVAL: Invalid argument'
ERROR:librespot_playback::player: Could not start audio: Alsa error: PCM open failed

I am not sure what is going on, why does not librespot accept my asound.conf?
This is driving me nuts, I really do not understand what to do.

Please help, would be much appreciated! :-)
