I am trying to use a usb webcam for video and microphone at the same time on my raspberry pi4, on buster. I just set the system up from scratch and am ready to do that again, if it helps with trouble shooting. I install fswebcam.

lsusb gives Bus 001 Device 003: ID 04da:390a Panasonic (Matsushita) So that's nice.

arecord -l returns:

**** List of CAPTURE Hardware Devices ****
card 2: TYCC20W [TY-CC20W], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

fswebcam image results in a picture so works fine. At this point the microphone is not working yet, at least if I join a jitsi meet I do only get the webcam. I figured out that I can set the audio input device via the gui (right click on the speaker symbol) and select the TY-CC20W. Afterwards in jitsi meet the microphone works but the video does not.

If I go to onlinemictest.com, the mic works. If I go to onlinemictest/webcam-test the webcam works. Only both together seem to not work, although it's not as clear cut to me. Because while I do a mictest, I can do fswebcam image and it does record an image.

Any ideas how to make the webcam work for video and microphone at the same time in a jitsi meeting? Or anywhere else?
