I have follow this instructions in order to compile a fresh version of my raspberry kernel:

https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/linux/kernel/building.md (local building)

I am working with a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B.

I have follow each step. When rebooting, i was able to connect to my raspberry through ssh but hdmi displays does not work...

I have run rpi-update and everything was okay.

So i think this was a firmware issue and i want to understand where this firmware is stored: Is it stored on sd card or on a raspberry eprom component ?

Do you think kernel version should match a firmware version ? And does it explain why my hdmi output problem ?

Thanks
