I have a Python script that reads the news through an RSS Feed. so the problem is that it only runs the news titles based on the hard-coded values in the code.

So, what I did is I used sys.argv[1] in my py code to read the passed integer from CLI and it is working great but it's a lot of work cos I have to manually go up folders and type a big python3 read_news 'integer'. So, where I am going with this is that I want to be able to pass the integer from the alias to the code directly, I tried to make a function in bash_aliases but sys.args[1] says the list is out of index

Traceback (most recent call last): File "read_news.py", line 14, in maxItems = int(sys.argv[1]) IndexError: list index out of range
