Raspberry Pi 4 is not detecting my realme Buds Wireless Pro headphones

I tried trouble shooting the issue by referring the following :

https://peppe8o.com/fixed-connect-bluetooth-headphones-with-your-raspberry-pi/

I edited the file /lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service and added --noplugin=sap Then checked the bluetooth status:

sudo service bluetooth status

which returned the following

bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service
Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service; enabled; vendor preset
Active: active (running) since Sat 2021-04-17 21:38:56 IST; 1min 8s ago
     Docs: man:bluetoothd(8)
 Main PID: 716 (bluetoothd)
   Status: "Running"
    Tasks: 1 (limit: 3860)
   CGroup: /system.slice/bluetooth.service
           \u2514\u2500716 /usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd --noplugin=sap

Then on performing the following commands in terminal

sudo rfkill unblock bluetooth
sudo systemctl daemon-reload
sudo service bluetooth restart

And finally checking the status using

sudo service bluetooth status

returned

bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service
Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service; enabled; vendor preset
Active: active (running) since Sat 2021-04-17 21:40:55 IST; 16s ago

Apr 17 21:40:55 raspberrypi bluetoothd[951]: Endpoint registered: sender=:1.22 p

which looks fine so decided to connect to my bluetooth device using the following commands

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ bluetoothctl
Agent registered

[bluetooth]# power on
Changing power on succeeded

[bluetooth]# agent on
Agent is already registered

[bluetooth]# default-agent
Default agent request successful

[bluetooth]# scan on
Discovery started
[CHG] Controller D1:A1:31:21:B1:31 Discovering: yes
[NEW] Device 1C:16:11:1C:1E:14 1C-16-11-1C-1E-14

So this new device is supposedly the headphones so I tried connecting to it

[bluetooth]# pair 1C:16:11:1C:1E:14
Attempting to pair with 1C:16:11:1C:1E:14

nothing happens so again tried the same command

[bluetooth]# pair 1C:16:11:1C:1E:14
Attempting to pair with 1C:16:11:1C:1E:14
Failed to pair: org.bluez.Error.InProgress
Failed to pair: org.bluez.Error.AuthenticationCanceled

It failed , so I'm not sure why its failing. Please help so that i can successfully connect to my headphones
