I have a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ (2017 printed on the circuit board) and I am mining XMR. So far my hash rate hovers at around 0.5H/s.

I have read several posts mentioning performance at around 10H/s for the same model of hardware, so I want to know what troubleshooting steps I need to do to increase the hash rate of my device.

Could it be old OS? Do I need to change configuration of the device?

  • From my experience, I've gotten 10H/s from the Pi 4, and only 2H/S for the Pi 3. You may need to use different software, I'm using xmrig following this guide.
