I want to get several buttons that can communicate over the internet. So I decided to connect push buttons to a raspberry pi. However, the issue is that these buttons need to spread out across the room. So instead of buying a raspberry pi for each button, I decided to connect each button to the raspberry pi with very long jump wires, which leads me to my question.
Why is it the case there is almost no long jump wires. And how can I realistically connect my push buttons to my breadboard over long distances.
