I want to be able to stream any movie or TV show on the raspberry pi much like you can do on sites like watchseries and putlocker.

What's the best solution for this with minimum lag and high quality streaming?

  • it's not spam. if it's off topic tell me where to go where it would be on topic because this is a genuine question I have. – Snubber Jul 19 '16 at 18:09

Agreed. The previous comment has been deleted by me. However, the idea of streaming "any movie or TV show" is too ambiguous for this to have much of a practical answer. – goldilocks Jul 19 '16 at 18:09

@goldilocks, not spam. Spam seed. A technique frequently employed whereby spammer A asks a non-spam question asking for recommendations (which is closable as "primarily opinion based" or "Questions asking us to recommend..." an almost all SE sites). ... Spammer B then later comes along and "answers" with spam. – Brock Adams Jul 19 '16 at 18:15
  • @BrockAdams I understood what you meant. If someone comes along and posts spam in reply, then flag the actual spam and it will be deleted. This is not a particularly good question, and if enough people vote to close it it will be closed. It does have a potentially decent answer, however, explaining the limitations of the Pi in this regard (i.e., more conceptual than practical), but since this information is not hard to dig up already, personally I won't be regurgitating it. – goldilocks Jul 19 '16 at 18:22

@BrockAdams Yeah, as mentioned I'll keep my eye on this. We rarely have problems along those lines as the question volume is low so it is hard to sneak stuff under the radar. Occasionally accounts get deleted when it does happen, but this one seems more like a matter of technological naivete. Hopefully I'm not wrong... – goldilocks Jul 19 '16 at 19:17
