Let me first tell the complete setup:

  • I have a laptop that connects to the internet by a mobile hotspot connection.
  • I share that connection with Ethernet, and connect the Raspberry Pi with ethernet to use the internet.
  • I already did setup a local apache server, that is accessible over the local network.

Now what I want is to make that server global (accessible over the internet)

Every website uses the router method, but I do not have a router. Kindly Help! It is a big project and I do cannot let it fail!

Thank You. :)

  • If you have a link to a description or even an image of your hotspot device, that would be helpful. – Bex Nov 21 '16 at 9:25

In my experience, your port forwarding should be set on your mobile. Nothing needs to be done on you pi.

@Sean83 If you're trying to build yourself a reputation, write better answers. I checked a few last answers you wrote, and they were all either one-liners, clarification questions to the OP, or both. – Dmitry Grigoryev Nov 21 '16 at 9:42
