This is my first time using the picamera. My goal is to make the camera record a certain ammount of frames before and after an event I will signal to it. So I have two questions:

  1. How can I communicate the event to the python program that communicate with the camera? is it possible to use interrupts?
  2. How can I make the camera record before and after the event?

I'm thinking of a solution that will involve constantly recording frames into a type of queue, the new frames constantly erasing the old ones. Is it possible to implement something like that in a python program with the picamera? I would like also to consume as little power as possible too.

Thanks for your help.
