This is my first day using RPi. I have a RPi 3 model B.

I was trying to change my RPi's IP address and subnet mask. While doing that I deleted my interfaces.swp swap file and rebooted my board. After that I noticed my both my Wi-Fi, Ethernet and internet connections have been disabled. Network settings icon on top-right says DCHP not found.

Any help'd be appreciated.

the swp file is used by vim while your editing a file, if you close and save it, it will be removed. So i would guess you lost changes you made to the interfaces file, could post the contents of that file along with others you changed. or just re flash the SD since I doubt you have done much with it since its the first day. – Chad G Aug 1 '18 at 15:16
  • In addition to the comment from Chad G you do not should use /etc/network/interfaces. Please use /etc/dhcpcd.conf for this. – Ingo Aug 23 '18 at 12:29
