I know you could use webhooks if the RPI is publicly accessible, but I would like to avoid that. My objective would be asking google assistant to turn on a GPIO pin, then that info magically transferring to the Pi and it running a python script. Any way to do this?

  • You can write a custom Google AIY script that does more than "OK Google". It doesn't need If this then that to control any GPIO. youtube.com/watch?v=Y8joFK2O8Es is a good example of how to do it. – Dougie Dec 9 '18 at 11:49
