I want to connect my Rasperry Pi3 with a thermal Printer I've bought and I checked all tutorials I could find and after trying one out I get this error:

Inappropriate ioctl for device

I get this error already at the first Command:

stty -F /dev/serial0 19200

Can you maybe help me?

Some details are essential, such things as how it is connected, what it is, does /dev/serial0 exist? You only get one chance at your question being visible. Without details your question will be ignored. – joan Dec 21 '18 at 16:58
  • Yeah, we're going to need a lot more information, like what items from those pages you linked have you completed? Which device do you have? Did you verify the baud rate for your printer by checking the test page? – T. M. Dec 21 '18 at 18:39
  • The printer is connected as shown at the beginning of the second link. I could only finish the first link.... dev/serial0 exist. I have a Raspi 3 The baud rate is 9600. Do you need something else? – Simon Ber Dec 22 '18 at 21:49
