Background:
I have successfully used pi-3b+ to display on LG LED TV, New model Sony 4K LED TV.

Requesting your support:
The year 2011 SONY 40NX710 model is showing blank (No desktop / text-console).

Following are the trials I have done in /boot/config.txt:-

hdmi_safe=1
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
hdmi_group=0
hdmi_mode=1
hdmi_drive=2
config_hdmi_boost=9
dtparam=audio=on
hdmi_ignore_cec_init=1
hdmi_ignore_cec=1

It did NOT work ...

Right now, I do NOT have access to LG LED TV or New model Sony 4K LED TV.

I have used following to get further information we may require:-

Not knowing where to go ... as a last resort, I have approached this community .. please help!

  • Are you sure the fault is with the pi??? If it worked with two other TV's then I would suspect the issue may lie with this third TV your now using. Are there other hdmi ports on it you can try or other devices you can plug into the TV to see whether they show up (or not) as well. – rohtua Feb 23 at 17:14
  • try hdmi_group=1 hdmi_mode=16 config_hdmi_boost=6 and remove the _cec_ entries - also try a different HDMI cable as well as the other 3 HDMI ports on the TV – Jaromanda X Feb 24 at 3:56
