Questions tagged [text-to-speech]

This tag is for software and hardware related to conversion of information stored as text into an equivalent audible sound representation. It includes both parsing the text in order to understand the meaning and/or context, the conversion into (short) units of sounds ("phonemes") and the reproduction of those as audio. The related tag "speech-synthesis" covers a sub-set of this for the trailing part of the process.
