Linux host can't connect to Raspberry Pi Zero serial gadget console
I followed this guide and enabled a serial console over USB. I can connect and log in from Windows but my Ubuntu laptop can't access the serial console.

Can't return any values from ttyUSB0
I'm using a SICK S300 scanner connected via Diagnostic cable to my Raspberry Pi, and it shows the connection as /dev/ttyUSB0 however I can't retrieve any data from it whatsoever.
